This course is just like the other Heartsaver courses, only it is 100% virtual. This allows you to be certified for work or other regulatory requirements, without leaving your home or office.
What equipment do I need?
The American Heart Association offers a training bundle on their website for this specific course and purpose. You may just buy the equipment, or you may bundle it with the required online course.
The AHA has created a virtual bundle that allows the student to purchase a kit containing the supplies needed for a hands-on Skills Check with a certified instructor online during a live meeting. These supplies are:
- Mini Anne® manikin (If doing the pediatric course, an infant manikin is provided, as well)
- AED Training Simulator with Adult pads
- Pair of large nonlatex gloves
- 4 gauze pads (4 x 4 inches)
- Gauze roll (1 ½ yards x 4 inches)
Along with the supplies, you will download the accompanying app and we will use this to help indicate correct depth and compression rate.
